On your iPhone, and — if you're signed into iCloud — in your own private iCloud storage, which is what syncs it between your devices. There's no ChipLog account and no ChipLog server. See the privacy policy.
Sign into the same iCloud account and install ChipLog — your sessions sync down on their own. If you don't use iCloud, export your sessions to CSV first (Settings › Data) and import that file on the new device.
Yes. A live session records when it started, so its timer is correct when you come back — even if the app was closed or your phone restarted. While it's running you can add top-ups and update your current stack; the session finishes when you tap End Session and enter what you cashed out.
Settings › Data › Import sessions (CSV) reads two kinds of file, and works out which one you picked on its own:
You get a preview of what will be added before anything is written, and a row the file can't make sense of is reported rather than silently dropped. Sessions you already have are skipped, so re-importing the same file is safe. Coming from a tracker that isn't on this list? Email me the export format — it's the kind of thing worth adding.
Settings › Data › Export sessions (CSV) hands the file to
the standard iOS share sheet, so you choose — Files, Mail, another app. The
file is a plain .csv that opens in Numbers or Excel.
There's a one-time "Remove Ads" purchase in Settings. It's tied to your Apple Account, so "Restore Purchases" brings it back on a new device. If you decline the tracking prompt you'll still see ads — they're just generic ones rather than ones chosen for you.
ChipLog uses a single currency at a time, set in Settings. Sessions already logged keep the currency they were played in, so switching doesn't rewrite your history.
Not today — ChipLog is an iPhone app, portrait only. It needs iOS 26 or later.
Settings › Data › Reset erases your sessions, and optionally your venues, game types and bankroll entries with them. Deleting the app removes everything stored on the device. To remove the synced copy as well, delete ChipLog's data from your iCloud settings.
